DR. EBRU GÜVEN

Associate Professor

Dr. Solakoğlu is an applied economist, with a teaching and research focus on cross section-time series econometrics and applications to microeconomics. Her PhD thesis received the "best produced thesis award" (2001) and relates to the dynamics of changes in US market patterns during the postbellum period. Her time series work, which investigates PPP (purchasing power parity) as well as market integration is highly cited. She has published in varoius refereed journals, including Applied Economics, Journal of Economics and Social Research, and Economic Systems Research. Dr. Solakoğlu's current research activities focus on the application of econometric techniques to risk management in agricultural economics, micro finance, global climate change, and health.
